Frequently asked questions about the event

The event opens at 11am on Saturday 12th July for activities and performances.

Activities within the Howard Centre will close at 5pm and performances will continue until 6.30pm.

In the week before local organisations have offered a range of taster sessions for you to enjoy. Singing, archery and gardening are some of those. If your organisation would like to promote a taster session or event in the week before please get in touch with us.

The Heritage exhibition is also open Weds 2nd July to Weds 16th July daily.

We are fully booked for activities and performers but if you’re able to give a few hours as a helper to help the event go with a swing we would love to hear from you. We encourage active travel routes wherever possible.

The town centre is accessible on foot from the local area. The event is ideally situated for train and bus travel, as the Howard Centre links directly to the bus and train stations.

Free cycle parking is available throughout the town centre, including on Howardsgate.

Car parking is available at Osbourn Way, Campus East, Bridge Road, Church Road, Campus West and the Howard Centre, including parking for blue badge holders.

There are no road closures for this event.

Taxis will continue to operate from Howardsgate.

In addition to the chidren’s groups performing there will be arts and crafts activities within the Howard Centre and a range of environmental activities. Many of the stalls will have exhibits and interactive activity.

Its a family event and there will also be activities for adults of all ages.
