Heritage Exhibition - ‘Welwyn Garden City Through Time’

As part of the Celebrate Welwyn Garden City event, an exhibition telling the story of the town will take place in the Howard Centre.

Discover more about our town’s special history at this exhibition. Open daily, Weds 2 July – Weds 16 July in the former Clinton Cards shop in the Howard Centre, Welwyn Garden City.

Includes lots of things to see and do – with photos, artefacts, films and games for adults and children.

Library Storytime for the under 5’s on Wednesday 9th July at 12.45 and 14.00.

Come and visit us, you won’t be disappointed!

Exhibits will include:

  • How Ebenezer Howard created the town
  • The Louis de Soissons plans
  • How the town grew from farm land.
  • The growth of the ‘high street’
  • Industry and how it has changed
  • Leisure in the town
  • Exhibits of items made in the town
  • Videos of the town

Together for WGC’s exclusive merchandise will be on sale including WGC heritage books, tea towels and a new! jigsaw created specifically for this event.

Entry is free of charge.
